Community Programs

The Safety Net (Owner Support)

Keeping Families Together. We believe that a lack of resources shouldn't mean the loss of a family member. Through our community outreach, we provide temporary assistance with pet food, essential supplies, and guidance for owners facing hardships. Our goal is to keep dogs out of the shelter and in the homes where they are already loved.

Spay & Neuter Assistance

Preventing the Next Generation of Homelessness. The only way to truly "clear the shelters" is to stop the cycle of unwanted litters. We partner with local clinics to offer low-cost spay and neuter resources for families in Walker and Catoosa County.

Helping Neighbors Find Forever Homes. We understand that life circumstances change, and sometimes a family must make the difficult decision to rehome a beloved pet. To help keep these dogs out of the local shelter system, we offer Courtesy Posts on our website and social media platforms.

By sharing your dog’s story with our community of adopters, we provide a safe bridge from your home to their next one.

Please Note: These dogs are not "Fraternity" rescues. They remain in their current homes while we help you screen potential families.

Training & Behavioral Support

Building a Better Bond. At Fraternity of the 4 Paws, we believe that "bad dogs" don't exist—only misunderstood ones. Most surrenders are the result of solvable behavioral issues like leash pulling, jumping, or anxiety.

We provide our fosters and adopters with resources to navigate these "quirks" and help the community find professional, positive-reinforcement trainers in the Walker County area. Our goal is to give you the tools to ensure your dog remains a well-behaved, permanent member of your family.

Education & Advocacy

Building a Compassionate Community. We are the voice for the voiceless. We work with local schools and community groups to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of microchipping, and the realities of the "foster-based" movement.
